La Boulangerie de San Francisco
San Francisco is best known for its hills, the Golden Gate Bridge, and of course fog! Yet many don’t know that it is also one of the most foodie cities in the world. Bakeries in San Francisco are inspired by such a diverse culture ranging from French-inspired pastries to Chinese baked goods. La Boulangerie de San Francisco in Hayes Valley quickly became my favorite bakery I’ve tried in the city.
If you’re looking for a tasty, authentic croissant that is not just a block of butter and powdered sugar, La Boulangerie de San Francisco has a nice selection of delectable treats that are sure to bring a smile to your face. If you’re not sure what to order, take it from me: the Raspberry-Pistachio Croissant could change your life forever. Yes, it’s that good.
What to order?
- The Raspberry-Pistachio Croissant 🥐 warning, this will change your life and you will want this everyday for the rest of your life after trying it once. 10/10 you NEED this in your life. Please note these are only available on the weekend and they do sell out quickly!
- The Almond Croissant Latte 🤯 still in awe of how they were able to capture the taste of an almond croissant in a latte but they sure did. Best latte I’ve ever had.
- The Avocado Toast 🥑 this is not your average avocado toast, La Boulangerie de San Francisco makes this on a Rustic specialty bread with sliced avocado, organic cherry tomatoes, fresh basil, and lemon extra virgin olive oil. Please note this is a weekend only item as well.
- Quiche Lorraine 🤌 the quiche was delicious, perfectly crisp and flaky French tart crust and a tasty egg and bacon filling.
- The Almond Croissant 🥐 this is my second favorite croissant they make at La Boulangerie de San Francisco. This is one item I order at every bakery I have the chance to visit and this one did not disappoint.
Overall, I highly recommend this place to anyone who enjoys French pastries. The bakery’s pastries are delicious and I’ve yet to have a bad experience. It’s a great place to take start your morning off in the right foot.
